{"id":15009,"date":"2018-11-30T12:13:13","date_gmt":"2018-11-30T11:13:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.celadagroup.com\/jimtof-2018-a-look-at-the-future-of-toolmaking\/"},"modified":"2018-11-30T12:13:13","modified_gmt":"2018-11-30T11:13:13","slug":"jimtof-2018-a-look-at-the-future-of-toolmaking","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.celadagroup.com\/en\/jimtof-2018-a-look-at-the-future-of-toolmaking\/","title":{"rendered":"Jimtof 2018: A look at the future of toolmaking"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Once again this year, Jimtof proved to be a major showcase for the sector\u2019s latest innovations.<\/p>\n<p>Sodick showcased a number of new wire EDM machine models:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>ALC400P, the latest development in the ALC series;<\/li>\n<li>AQ 1500L, the largest wire-cut EDM machine on the market;<\/li>\n<li>ALC 800GH.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The ALC-P series features the same control system as the ALC\u2013G series, but differs in its use of cross-roller linear guides, which improve its static precision.<\/p>\n<p>The ALC 800GH is the version of the ALC 800G with an extended Z-axis stroke, which was unveiled at the latest edition of BIMU; particular attention has been paid to the development of the wire\u2019s thermal cutting and annealing systems to facilitate threading operations.<\/p>\n<p>This was the first Jimtof event under the new President, Kenichi Furukawa, who succeeded his father, who passed away a few months ago. During the event, the new logo was unveiled, consisting of two wings forming an \u2018S\u2019 in the centre.
