In response to the growing demand for large wire EDM machines resulting from the growth of the aerospace, automotive, white goods and general mechanics sectors with XXL parts, Sodick has expanded its wire EDM range to include the AQ series models. The machines in this XXL series also use the linear motor technology developed and manufactured by Sodick to ensure smooth and precise motion. The CNC can directly import a 3D model, supporting the operator in achieving optimal productivity during the production process.
The Sodick AQ Premium series includes the linear-motor wire EDM machines AQ900L, AQ1200L and AQ1500L, designed for machining large workpieces, up to the AQ1500L Premium model classified as an extra-large wire EDM with a maximum workpiece weight of 8,000 kg.
