TECHSTER models are designed for demanding surface and profile grinding in a workshop environment. The wide range of optional equipment extends what the machine can do, including high-precision profile dressing, complex profile grinding, automatic measurement and external programming.
The Techster series stands out for the use of top-quality components and for craftsmanship carried out in a modern production environment.
The design is based on a heavily ribbed T-shaped cast-iron bed, together with a table and a “C” column structure also in cast iron. The demanding continuous casting process ensures excellent thermal homogeneity.
All axes are driven by servomotors and ball screws. The table drive is a special solution patented by AMADA, with particularly high damping properties.
The linear guideway supports of the vertical and cross axes are ground, while the table contact surfaces and slideways are double-V finished by hand scraping; together they ensure excellent damping properties and a long working life.
The thermal effects generated by the drive systems are compensated by an active cooling system.
The axes are moved by servomotors and ground ball screws.
The consistent design of every component and production techniques aimed at the highest precision deliver objective, comparable results.
The Amada Techster series brings together six CNC surface grinders – Techster 52, 64, 84, 105, 106 and 126.
