The Okuma MULTUS U Laser EX is a super-class multitasking machine that combines subtractive machining with an additive function: laser metal deposition (LMD) and laser hardening are performed directly on the machine. Turning diameter is 650 mm and length is 1,500 mm; the spindle runs from 3,000 to 5,000 rpm with power from 22/15 kW up to 37/30 kW depending on the model. The tool magazine ranges from 40 up to 180 pockets and the control is Okuma OSP. A solution for repair, cladding and additive build-up of components, completed by subtractive finishing.
