Okuma LB III

  • Turning
  • |Large horizontal CNC lathe

For long and heavy workpieces in very small to medium batches: ideal areas of application are the oil industry or mechanical engineering. With its stable tilted table design for 2-axis machining, the LBIII series guarantees the most efficient machining time.

The highest possible accuracy is guaranteed thanks to the heating/cooling cycle compensation via the Okuma Thermo-Friendly Concept. In terms of reliability and operating comfort, the factory-programmable OSP-P300L CNC continuous progression control can meet the most demanding requirements.

The Okuma LB III series includes large horizontal CNC lathes designed for heavy turning and long shaft machining, available in the LB35III and LB45III versions. Both models share the same design approach of the family, built to ensure rigidity and continuous operation on large workpieces, and are equipped with a 12-position tool magazine that allows articulated machining cycles to be managed autonomously without frequent manual intervention. Choosing between the LB35III and the LB45III lets workshops select the machine size best suited to their production needs, while keeping the same tool-change automation logic across the whole series. The result is a range built for those who need to handle heavy-duty work with continuity, reliability and a tool organization already set up for complex cycles.
