Cost-effective complete machining for medium to large batches: The Okuma turning centres of the TWIN STAR LT EX series are characterised by their two identical, opposing operating spindles.
Equipped with C-axes and up to three revolvers with driven tool stations, the models of the series are particularly suitable for cost-effective complete machining and for automatic equipping with handling systems.
The Okuma LT2000-EX is a twin-spindle multitasking lathe with multiple turrets and live tooling, built to complete the part in a single cycle. Turning diameter is 210 mm over a length of 130 mm, with a bar capacity of about 51 mm and a swing of about 400 mm. The spindle reaches 6,000 rpm with up to 15 kW continuous power; live tools turn up to 6,000 rpm. The tool magazine is configurable up to 48 pockets (3 x 16) and the machine reaches 9 axes. The control is the Okuma OSP-P300.
