The Star SK-51 is a fixed-headstock Swiss-type automatic lathe for bars up to Ø51 mm, with a turning length of 125 mm. Main and sub spindle both run at 5,000 rpm: the main delivers 7.5 kW continuous with a 15 kW peak, the sub 7.5 kW continuous and 11 kW for 15 minutes, completing the part front and back in a single cycle. The two 12-station turrets offer 7.5 kW / 6,000 rpm live tools at every station, with a Z travel of 640 mm per turret and rapids of 40 m/min. The FANUC iHMI control runs the machine through a modern, intuitive interface.
