The horizontal machining centres of the MB-H series are equipped with a fast pallet changer and high axial acceleration on linear guides.

The machines are mainly used in production for the automotive industry, agricultural machinery, construction equipment or railway parts.

Automation via FMS guarantees a drastic reduction in set-up times. The Turn-Cut function allows synchronisation of the spindle speed with circular interpolation in the X and Y axis, ideal, for example, when turning conical face grooves with helical interpolation, typical on butterfly valves.

The Thermo-Friendly Concept ensures maximum process reliability, measurement stability and shape accuracy in production.

The machines in the MB-H series can also be extended with numerous applications, such as the Super-NURBS high-speed control or the Machining Navi, which reduces vibrations during machining.

As an option, the MB-H series can be automated with FMS systems, pallet stations and robots.

The Okuma MB-H series brings together horizontal machining centres with pallet changer, spanning the MB-4000H, MB-5000HII and MB-10000H models. The first two share a 48-pocket tool magazine, expandable up to 326 as an option, and rapid traverses of 60/60/60 m/min on all three axes; the MB-10000H, designed for larger-scale work, features a 40-pocket magazine (up to 400 optional) and slightly lower rapids of 50/50/50 m/min. The highly expandable tool magazine configuration, common across the whole series, allows complex, unattended machining cycles with a large number of tools available. The MB-H series is therefore suited to those seeking a scalable horizontal machining centre able to adapt to different production needs while maintaining fast positioning and operating continuity.
