The VTL-2R series vertical lathes are the result of a series of studies carried out by YOU JI on the entire range of its vertical lathes, the main objective of which has been to ensure great versatility of use so that the machine in question is suitable for machining in the energy sector, oil, wind energy, mining, railways, steel, petroleum, transmission, nuclear, aeronautics, marine, earthmoving, moulds and dies, automotive, transport, textiles and general mechanical engineering.
The VTL-2R models are equipped with a mobile crosshead and a DUE Ram for applications where the variety of workpieces to be machined is great, benefiting from the overall rigidity determined by the proximity of the crosshead to the workpiece.
The VTL-2R line comprises a series of vertical lathes and vertical turning centres for milling, drilling and grinding, with platform diameters from 1600 to 4500 mm and turning diameters up to 4800 mm, equipped with spindle motors of up to 75 kW and milling motors of up to 26 kW.
This is a line of extremely advanced machines that are comfortable to use and, in our opinion, are perfectly suited to the evolution of the brands with a view to modernising production. They also reflect the innovative efforts of YOU JI’s designers, who can draw on the vast experience the company has accumulated over more than 40 years in the vertical turning market.
The You Ji VTL-2R series is the twin-RAM version of the VTL vertical lathes, designed for machining large rotational parts. The two RAMs work in parallel, reducing cycle times compared with a single-spindle configuration. The range includes the VTL2000ATC+Y and VTL2500ATC+Y models, both with a turning length of 1,600 mm: the main difference between them lies in load capacity, rising from 8,000 kg on the VTL2000ATC+Y to 12,000 kg on the VTL2500ATC+Y. This progression makes it possible to choose the machine best suited to the weight of the workpiece, while keeping the turning length and overall design unchanged across the series. A versatile solution for those who need high productivity on large rotational parts with differing weights.
