The Neway PM-U series brings together 5-axis double-column (gantry) machining centres, equipped with a universal head for complete machining of large moulds and complex structures. The range comprises five sizes, from PM2040U to PM3080U. The representative PM2040U size provides travels of 4,200 mm (X), 3,200 mm (Y) and 1,000 mm (Z), a 2,800 mm column clearance, a 2,000 x 4,000 mm table rated up to 18,000 kg. The spindle, with an HSK-A63 taper, delivers 37 kW continuous and 46 kW peak and reaches 24,000 rpm; the magazine holds 24 tools and the control is Siemens (Heidenhain optional). The 5-axis universal head makes it possible to machine complex surfaces and geometries on large envelopes, with applications in aerospace, energy and large-format moulds.
