Machine body structure

It adopts a fixed gantry and moving table structure. The base is made of high-quality cast iron, in order to obtain a machine with high rigidity, precision and stability. The castings are designed by means of finite element analysis.

The layout of the reinforcing ribs is designed to fully meet the requirements of high cutting power and high torque.

The bed design offers extremely high rigidity: the distance between the guideways is greater than standard. The bed can support super-heavy workpieces.

The worktable does not vibrate even when subjected to heavy machining; the workpieces will therefore have perfect flatness at the end of machining. The worktable is solid and of substantial thickness to ensure superior rigidity and high precision.

The linear guideways have a high number of runner blocks, which makes it possible to create a solid and rigid structure that guarantees high rigidity and high flatness.

The Neway PM series comprises gantry (double-column) milling machines developed for machining large-format parts, growing in size from the PM1220H model up to the larger PM2060H. The gantry architecture, common to the whole range, provides the structural rigidity needed for continuous roughing and finishing operations on bulky components, from dies to heavy fabrications. Both models can be equipped with Fanuc or Siemens numerical control, ensuring reliable programming and compatibility with the most common workshop workflows. The size progression from the PM1220H to the PM2060H allows the most suitable machine to be selected for the workpiece envelope, while retaining the constructive advantages typical of the fixed-gantry, moving-table design: solidity, precision and continuity of machining even on the largest volumes in the range.
